AppEntra devices and technologies for more efficient access management

RFID and QR Code terminals connect AppEntra to doors, turnstiles and entry points according to each company’s requirements.

AppEntra devices and technologies for more efficient access management

Our hardware solutions are designed to adapt access control to different environments, technologies and entry points

Access management goes beyond software. Connecting AppEntra to doors, turnstiles and entry points requires devices that can communicate with company infrastructure and adapt to different identification methods.

This is why AppEntra can be paired with terminals offering different features, formats and installation methods. This article looks at three solutions: RFID X4, A3 RFID QRCODE and R10 QRCODE, available in different configurations to suit your needs.

RFID X4: touch display, RFID and flexible configuration

The RFID X4 Terminal is a compact solution with a 4.3-inch touch display and 480×272 resolution. It can be installed vertically or horizontally to suit the access point configuration.

The reader supports RFID 125KHz EM4102, 14443A, Ultralight, Mifare Classic 1K and 4K and Desfire EV1/2/3, with a dual antenna. The device can be powered through PoE, with power injection included, and uses an Ethernet connection.

It can also connect to devices such as turnstiles and doors equipped with a dry contact. When integrated with AppReception, it can open or close the contact when a visitor, recurring visitor, supplier or employee passes through the access point after checking in at one of the stations.

Alongside the RFID X4 version, the RFID X4 QRCODE Terminal offers the same features with an additional QR Code reader.

For both configurations, physical installation is the customer's responsibility.

A3 RFID QRCODE: multiple technologies and outdoor use

The A3 RFID QRCODE Terminal combines several identification technologies in a device designed for wall mounting, including on door frames.

It supports read-only 64-bit RFID 125KHz, compatible with EM-H4102, ISO 14443A/B, ISO 15693, Ultralight, Mifare Classic 1K and 4K, Desfire EV1/2/3, NFC and BLE, and includes a QR Code reader.

The terminal measures 140x60x23 mm, includes a 3-metre cable and uses an RS485 data interface with the proprietary SPP slave protocol. It can connect to terminals and controllers as an additional reader.

The specified operating temperature ranges from -20 to +70 °C, while its IP55 protection makes it suitable for outdoor operation. A3 can also connect to turnstiles and doors with a dry contact and, through integration with AppReception, open or close them when users present their QR Code to the reader.

A Controller 4/8 + A3 RFID QRCODE Terminal configuration is also available. This includes a DIN-rail XIO Ethernet Controller with 4 relays and 8 inputs, a 100-240 Vac to 12 Vdc @ 2000 mA wall power supply and a 14.5 W, 48 V PoE Power Injector with a range of up to 100 metres and a DIN cable.

Physical installation remains the customer's responsibility.

R10 QRCODE: compact format and IP65 protection

The R10 QRCODE Terminal brings its identification features into an 80x80x23 mm format.

It supports ISO 14443A/B, ISO 15693, Ultralight, Mifare Classic 1K and 4K, Desfire EV1/2/3, NFC and BLE, and includes a QR Code reader. Designed for wall mounting, it includes a 3-metre cable and uses an RS485 interface with the proprietary SPP slave protocol, allowing it to connect to terminals and controllers as an additional reader.

Its operating temperature ranges from -25 to +50 °C, and its IP65 protection makes it suitable for outdoor use. R10 can also connect to turnstiles and doors with a dry contact and integrate with AppReception to open or close the contact after reading a QR Code.

The Controller 2/4 + R10 QRCODE Terminal configuration includes a DIN-rail IDOOR Ethernet Controller with 2 relays and 4 inputs and a 100-240 Vac to 12 Vdc @ 2000 mA wall power supply. A 14.5 W, 48 V PoE Power Injector with a range of up to 100 metres and a DIN cable is also provided.

Physical installation is also the customer's responsibility in this case.

Different hardware, one access management system

RFID X4, A3 RFID QRCODE and R10 QRCODE address different technical requirements, but share the same purpose: connecting physical access points to digital entry management.

The device can therefore be selected according to the installation type, required identification technologies, environmental conditions and configuration of the company's doors or turnstiles.
